Customer and Customer Groups
A customer is a converted Lead or Opportunity that has now placed an order for your goods and services.
A customer is also called a buyer, client or purchaser. It is important that you maintain clear customer records for legal, accounting and marketing purposes.
Moving on to Customer Groups. Grouping similar customers together helps you in customising your pricing, credit limit, newsletters, etc. For example, you can put all your retail buyers into one group and all your wholesale buyers into another group. You can also create customer groups based on the industry or domain in which they operate. This will help you analyse which of your products or services are doing well with which customer groups and gain insights into trends.
